No matter how well you choose your house. Your needs would change in time. And so you would outgrow your cuurent home and eventually need to have some improvements or to move to a new one.

It's much simpler to move to a new house. Even if you have to pay for the real agent and other associated expenses, your costs are generally fixed. Nevertheless, if you buy a new home which still needs some repairs and remodeling, the hassle would be like remodeling your current home.

On the other hand, remodeling entails a lot of uncertainties. First, you would have to hire an architect to design the improvements. The cost of materials may vary so you can easily go over the budget. You would also have to find good builders or contractors to do the remodeling.

The good thing about remodeling though is not having to adjust to a new neighborhood or go through the trouble of moving. But then again,be ready for some inconvenience too. You may have to find a temporary kitchen or order out for some time during the renovation.

At the end of the day, it would still be up to your preference. Even if it's much hassle to remodel you might find it worth doing as long as you get to stay in the same house you and your family love.
