If you want to buy a new house, but you still have your old house to sell, and you are considering hiring a Conveyancing solicitor to do the job for you, here are some of his job responsibilities:
A Conveyancing solicitor will work on all the nasty job that deals with selling your old house, this includes preparing all your legal documents for your property that needs to be sold such as your property information, land registry papers, etc. Do not worry if you are too busy in preparing your things in your big move. You will be spared to deal with this additional load because your Conveyancing solicitor will prepare this for you.
The Conveyancing solicitor will ask you all your terms and conditions in selling your property, and he will prepare the contract, which is subject to your approval.
He will also be responsible in dealing with your buyers and discussing all the things that are inside the buyer - seller contract.
He will be responsible in making sure that your buyer will sign all the necessary documents that involve in selling your old house. He will also be contacting your bank to discuss your current mortgage.
He will inform you if the buyer has completed every legal work that is required in selling your old house. He will inform you if it is already safe to hand your old house's keys to your buyer.
