With the right tips and some help from professional moving websites, you will soon develop the necessary skills to safely and securely pack all your possessions. You don’t have to worry that you may not be able to do it or that you will make mistakes. If you read closely some articles on the subject, you will become an expert in no time. Here are a few useful tips which should help you with your packing:•    Wrap fragile or breakable items in newspaper or bubble wrap before putting them in boxes.•    Use only easily sturdy cardboard boxes which can be easily wrapped and closed, without filling them too much, then tape the tops and bottoms securely. •    Do not pack your items using plastic containers. •    Label boxes clearly with a number, a short summary of contents and the room they should be placed in your new home.•    Do not pack inflammable liquids such as gasoline, lighter fluid or different types of alcohol; maintenance chemicals; paints and paint thinners; prescription drugs for immediate use, food in glass jars or perishable foods; etc. •    Start with the items that are out of season and then continue with the things which are not used frequently. Leave until the last minute the things you`ll need until your moving day. •    Pack similar items together and keep their parts or pairs together. •    Indicate the fragile or heavy items by labeling the boxes. •    Electronics should be packed in their original box. In case you don’t have their original pack anymore, carefully pack each item in a sturdy box after lining it with newspapers or Styrofoam packing peanuts. •    Start packing early and follow a timetable. Most people don’t even realize how much time this task takes. •    Stay organized by packing your items room by room. Once packed, label the boxes, use the color coordination and then sort the already packed boxes by weight.•    Make sure that the packing boxes don’t weigh more than 50lbs. •    Pack the large, heavy items first, then the small ones, filling in all empty spaces with plain newsprint. Packing is not a really difficult task anymore once you learn how to do it properly. If you decided to do it yourself just make sure you do a lot of research before actually doing it. Also when buying packing materials avoid being stingy. They are very important, the better the quality the lower the chances of damaged items. Still, if you don’t want to spend too much money on packing materials, there are other options as well. The first one would be to ask the local groceries or electronics shops for boxes which are no longer useful for them. A second option would be to rent the packing materials. No matter what your decision is, make sure that you do everything correctly.
