The 7 Commandments of Moving Moving home is not an easy task and most people know it from personal experience. It is usually frustrating and time consuming and if you don’t have a good moving plan, your relocation will not be easy at all. No mentioning that some people decide to do this alone. Then it is even more challenging. But, no matter how you do it, if you follow these easy rules of moving home, you will definitely make your life easier: •    Make a list about everything you pack. This will ensure that everything is organized and when you`ll unpack them, you will know for sure what is in every box. You can either label the boxes or write in a notebook the number of the box and the items it contains or you could just write a small summary of the contents on the box. •    Make sure you have as many supplies as possible. Don’t think that  just a few boxes will be enough, because when you will start packing the number of items you have, will be too big for the boxes you`ll have. According to an old saying “ better to prevent than to treat”, in this case is better to have more packing supplies than you really need, than not have enough and try to find them in a short time. •    Use colors when moving home. It may sound foolish but it is easier to designate a colour for each room (i.e. green for the kitchen, red for bathroom, blue for bedroom, etc.). Then apply some coloured stickers on the box, near the number and also put matching stickers on the doors in your new home. This way, the movers will know exactly where every box should go. •    Don’t forget about the wardrobe boxes. If you hired the services of a moving company, then you should ask them about the width of their wardrobe boxes. This way, you`ll be able to calculate how many you need. They can be filled with bulky but lightweight items such as comforters, pillows, blankets but also for fabric bolts, large baskets, storage boxes, etc.•    Start packing early. This way, you will save a lot of time and even money. The earlier you start to pack, the easier will be for you on the moving day. Not only you won`t have to worry about not having time to pack but you will be less stressed as well. •    Don`t pack your important documents with the rest of the items. If you have original or important papers such as birth certificates, bank records, etc. then you shouldn’t pack them with the rest of your items. They may get lost or damaged in the process. The best would be to keep them with you or to put them in a safe box during the process. •    Use every bit of space you have. This includes your luggage as well. You can fill it with clothes, sheets, towels and paper goods. This way, you will quickly remember where your favorite sweater is and you can also save some packing boxes as well.
