Packing Supplies That You Need For Your Move When it comes to moving house there are a million and one things that you need to do before your moving day. With everything from your removal company to your moving boxes to worry about, the packing supplies that you use for your move can often fall by the wayside. If you want to ensure that you’re moving with the best packing materials and supplies then have a look at this handy guide to help you make the right choices for your belongings!1)    Moving boxes. If you don’t use the proper moving boxes for your move then you could face breakages or damages happening to your items. If you want to avoid this happening on your moving day then you need to make sensible choices when it comes to your moving boxes. There are many online retailers who specialise in removal boxes, and though these can sometimes be pricey, it’s worth having a look if you haven’t got a box for things such as your television or computer monitor. Removal boxes have been specially created for that purpose, and they’re much stronger and more durable than other types of boxes, making them ideal for heavy or expensive items that you don’t want to see get broken! Lots of people choose to move house using second hand boxes sourced from local shops and supermarkets. This can be a great budget-friendly alternative to purchasing moving boxes, but be aware that these boxes are second hand! Check for any signs of wear and tear and make sure you reinforce them with packing tape before using them. 2)    Labelling your boxes. If you label your boxes you’re going to make it much easier to both pack and unpack them. Marker pens in different colours are a great idea to properly label your boxes in an organised fashion, so if you don’t already have them it’s worth adding some to your shopping list! It’s also a good idea to invest in white sticky labels – especially if you’re using boxes that have designs or logos printed on them, as this can make it difficult to read words that have been directly penned on. 3)    Differentiating bags. Many people use black plastic bags to move things like duvets, bedding and towels, and as long as they’re durable this is a fantastic and cheap idea. Use white sticky labels or coloured string to seal your bags so that you can easily tell them apart. This will help you to find the bag that you need when you need it, instead of wasting time ripping all of them apart! 4)    What padding materials should you use? There are lots of padding materials that you can use for your move, and it’s a good idea to start storing and collecting them weeks, if not months, in advance. Save bubble wrap and foam packing blocks from any of your post and ask friends and family to do the same for you. You should also look out for foam packing peanuts, plastic wrap, packing paper and more. If you’re using a removal company then see if they can offer you a cheap package deal that includes materials, so that you can save yourself money. You can also pad out your boxes with newspaper, though be aware that the print can sometimes transfer onto lighter-coloured items.
