The Eastern Postcode district is one of the original London postal regions  and covers parts of the Boroughs of the City of London, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest, Newham, Hackney, Enfield, Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge and Epping Forest in Hackney and Essex.
