The South Eastern postcode district is one of London's original postcode areas. Houses prices here are lower than most places in London area with flats going for around £252,000 to £317,000 for one to five bedrooms and houses start at approximately £488,000 for two bedrooms and increase to about £1,217,000 for five bedrooms. Studio apartments cost roughly £205,000. The types of homes available in the area include attractive cottages, converted flats, Georgian homes, the Cotton Gardens estate, late Victorian abodes, high-rise tower estates, popular sixties homes, recent Nineties rebuilds, small scale housing with gardens, the 1930s to 1950s Whitgift Estate, Georgian terraces and more.  

Despite it's small size, SE11 has a lot to offer. Some notable open spaces include Archbishops Park, Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park and Kennington Park, which include faculties for sports, sightseeing, fairs, meeting spots, small zoos and more. The nearby St. Peter's Heritage Centre holds regular events and is open for hire. Home of Surrey cricket Club, The Oval, is here and has been the hub for the society for over one-hundred-and-fifty years and was once the largest cricket field in the world. The areas is a great place for learning because it features the Imperial War Museum that has many activates and exhibits and the Museum of Garden History can teach you about the history of gardening with it's multitude of artefacts. There are two small theatres in SE11 that host events, lectures, classes, galleries and more. There are many restaurants with examples of a whole variety of different national food. Bus services are abundant here and there are several railway and tube stations operating.
