Moving house is stressful. Apparently, that is a given. Whenever you talk to a friend or relative who has gone through it they all say the same thing. In fact, you’ll notice that when you are talking with people about your own move they will all ask you the same question; ‘How are you coping?.’ However, does it always need to be this way?. Surely there must be a removal company somewhere out there that can help you take the strain a little bit?.
Here at Man and Van we believe in doing things a little bit differently. When you think about removal companies you probably think of people coming over just for the one day that you need them, a fair amount of builder’s bum and people throwing your stuff around in the back of a van that is far too small and showing no regard for you or yoru possessions. Instead, if you make one call to us on 020 3743 9354 you will notice that we can come round to help you pack, give you a moving assessment so that we can give you the correct size van and number of removal specialists, and a thousand little details to help keep your costs down through the efficiency only decades of experience can bring. We are Sutton’s number 1 removal specialists so get in touch and enjoy a stress free move today!.
SM5 covers the Carshalton area of the London Borough of Sutton. In the main town of Carshalton itself there have been discoveries suggesting that this area of London has been settled since Neolithic times, and even before the Norman Conquest there were a total of five manors, each owned by an individual noble or freeman. It appears in the Domesday Book as Aultone under the ownership of Goisfrid de Mandeville.
The area is known for the streams and ponds which surround it, making it a particularly unique area of Great London with a distinctly ‘country’ feel.
Nearby St Helier is an estate built by the council between 1928 and 1936 to rehouse people from parts of inner city London that were falling apart. It was a natural point for a new estate given the recently opened Modern Underground station which provided the area with rapid links into the city. It was named in honour of the Lady St Helier, who was the Alderman of the council in the area for 17 years or so beforehand. He roads are all named in alphabetical order after monasteries and abbeys as a nod to the times that the land was owned by Westminster Abbey.
