Houses range between approximately £318,000 and £4,682,000 for one to six bedrooms. Studio apartments cost about £340,000. The most popular homes here are at the centre of the area as it includes fine Georgian Houses and Victorian mansion flats. Highfields Grove and West hill are popular destinations, West Hill features large villas, Swains Lane features multi-occupancy Victorian homes, inter war housing can be found in Holly Lodge estate, detached homes in Highgate, workers flats in Lubetkin, modern apartments blocks in Archway Road and many more.

Facilities in the N5 area include bathing ponds in Hampstead Heath, Highgate Gold Course, open spaces Waterlow Park, Highgate and Queens Wood, which feature woodland, various wildlife sports facilities and more and the large Highgate Cemetery that has been dubbed “Victorian Valhalla” and is the burial place of Karl Marx. Other notable places here include The Garden Centre run by the Highgate Horticultural Society, many restaurants that feature food from all over the world, multiple old pubs, numerous health facilities, Pond Square Chapel that hosts classical concerts, the bustling Jackson Lane Community Centre, Lauderdale House that features various exhibitions and hold regular events and classes. Highgate Summer festival is held annually, as is a craft fair. There is only one tube station here but the A1 motorway is easily accessible.
