When we look out of our windows we want smile. We want whatever we see to make us feel happy and safe. To have this we have to pick a place to live that will have everything we need and have an atmosphere that matches our attitude and outlook. The London region can provide this, especially the N5 postcode area.
The N5 sector falls within the Northern Postcode district that encompasses Boroughs of Hackney, Islington, Camden, Barnet, Haringey and Enfield. N5 is one of twenty-two subsections that span between N1 to N22 to make up the district. The N code was created in the mid 19th century but it wasn’t until 1917 these new sections were created as an effort to improve mail delivery and streets signs, as well as make navigation and travel easier and more accurate.
N5 itself covers Highbury and Highbury fields, which fall into the Boroughs of Islington and Hackney and use the post town address of LONDON. It is at the bottom of the Northern district, being enclosed by N1, N4, N7 and N16, meaning that Barnsbury, Islington, Finsbury Park, Holloway, Newington Green and more are close by. House prices here are fairly average for the London region, starting at around £323,000 for one bedroom and gradually increasing for each additional room with the maximum being about £1,911,000 for six bedrooms. Flats are cheaper, with an apartment with a single bedroom costing approximately £296,000, which increases until it reaches roughly £650,000 for four bedrooms and can exceed £1 million for more rooms. Studio flats are unsurprisingly the cheapest option at around £204,000.
There is a good range of housing in this area that includes the late 19th century terraces in Highbury fields, the Georgian terraces in Highbury Place, mansions in Highbury crescent, terrace mews and converted flats on Ronalds Road, double fronted Victorian houses in Highbury Hill, flats in Drayton Park, small flats in Mountgrove Road, Victorian mansion flats in Highbury estate and homes in the tree lined in the south-east of N5 and many more.
N5 is home to top premier league club Arsenal, with it’s home ground, The Emirates Stadium, being here. The former site of Arsenal’s games Highbury Fields is still known for being a large open space that includes sport facilities and playgrounds, as well as Highbury Pool that is one of the best equipped and maintained pool in London and it also features saunas, gyms and more. The Garage arena hosts a wide range of acts including the top music and comedy acts and Gillespie Park is a local open space. There are motorways such as the A1201 and A105 nearby that allow for easy travel in and out of the area and tube and railways station are also on hand.
